Initiative: Community Vision
The consultancy sector is one of the most important pillars of the RSD, supporting its strategic objective of providing guidance and expert input to local organizations. In line with its commitment
to strengthening civil society organizations and enhancing their capacities, RSD launched the
“Community Vision” initiative in June 2024. This initiative aims to empower civil society
organizations by improving their institutional efficiency (governance), aligning their work with
international standards, and ensuring their responsiveness to the real development needs of
Yemeni communities.
The initiative was developed in response to the challenges faced by local organizations, particularly
under the complex economic and social conditions that limit their ability to contract consulting
firms.
Objectives of the Initiative:
• Provide tailored consultancy services to enhance the institutional efficiency of civil society
organizations.
• Bridge the knowledge gap in proposal and project development and strengthen institutional
governance.
• Support the establishment of developmental associations and organizations that provide
community services.
Duration:
The initiative runs for six months, during which feedback and future adjustments are incorporated in
alignment with institutional needs and emerging developments.
Results of the Initiative:
From June 2024 to the end of the year, 39 consultancy services were delivered to 21 civil society
organizations across 12 Yemeni governorates.
