Launch of the Sustainable Climate Forum in Marib to Promote Environmental Awareness and Tackle Climate Change

In a remarkable step toward a more sustainable environment, Marib Governorate is preparing to host the Sustainable Climate Forum – Marib, one of the three most prominent environmental events in Yemen. The forum aims to raise awareness about climate change and present practical solutions to environmental challenges in local communities.
Held under the slogan “Together for a Sustainable Climate… Let’s Create Change and Protect Our Environment for a Greener Present and a Safer Future”, the forum embodies the spirit of initiative, energy, and resilience that Marib represents — a symbol of determination and collective action.
The forum is not just an environmental conference; it is an inspiring youth platform that brings together young people, decision-makers, and experts to discuss ways to promote green development and build a more sustainable and climate-just future.
The event is part of the Sustainable Climate Campaign in Yemen, organized by the Sustainable Green Future Foundation (SGF) in partnership with the Arab Center for Civil Work Sustainability – Misr El-Kheir Foundation and the Green Climate Organizations Union, under the generous patronage of the Ministry of Water and Environment – Yemen and the Environmental Protection Authority.
In Marib, the forum is implemented through a partnership between Al-Salam and Development Association (the main partner in the governorate) and the Rawafid Foundation for Sustainable Development (collaborating partner), as part of the national efforts to enhance environmental awareness and empower youth to take an active role in climate action.
The organizing committee emphasized that the forum will serve as an interactive dialogue space to transform youth ideas into tangible initiatives that contribute to local environmental and economic sustainability.
