Marib Governorate — a symbol of Yemen’s deep-rooted history and civilization — witnessed the inspiring conclusion of the Sustainable Climate Forum – Marib, held in an atmosphere that blended human resilience with hope and commitment to a shared responsibility: protecting the environment for future generations 🌱🇾🇪
The forum brought together a distinguished group of local leaders, social figures, and representatives of civil society organizations, alongside wide youth participation presenting innovative ideas and new visions from the heart of Marib — a governorate that bridges the legacy of the past with the aspirations of the future while facing growing environmental and climate challenges with renewed awareness and determination.
Rawafid Foundation for Sustainable Development (RSD) is honored to be one of the local partners in implementing the Sustainable Climate Forum – Marib, as part of the Sustainable Climate Campaign in Yemen, organized in partnership with Peace and Development Association (PDA) and several local collaborators in the governorate.
The forum is part of the #Sustainable_Climate_Campaign in Yemen, implemented by the Sustainable Green Future Foundation (SGF) in partnership with the Arab Center for Sustainable Civil Action – Misr El Kheir Foundation and the Union of Green Climate Organizations for Development, under the patronage of the Ministry of Water and Environment – Yemen and the Environmental Protection Authority (EPA Yemen).
In Marib, the forum was more than an event — it was a message of awareness and action for a safe environment and sustainable development. From its mountains, oases, and green farms, the voices of its youth rose high, delivering a clear message to the world:
“Marib deserves to thrive… and together, we will build it green.”
With this inspiring conclusion, the Sustainable Climate Campaign continues its journey across other governorates to unify efforts for a greener, more resilient, and climate-just Yemen, leading to the grand closing conference in Aden ✨
